This paper provides an overview of three important tools for Ethernet Operations, Administration, and Maintenance (OAM): Link-layer Ethernet OAM, Ethernet-Local Management Interface (E-LMI), and Service Layer Ethernet OAM – commonly referred to as “Connectivity Fault Management”.
